Student Employee of the Year Awards

On Friday, April 9th, Washington College held a Zoom event hosted by the Assistant Director for Campus Student Employment Darlene Ashley to recognize and honor the student employee of the year. There were four hard-working candidates this year. Jazmin Gascot, a Geographic Information System Senior Apprentice, was commended for her leadership and professionalism by the GIS Senior Project Manager. Destiny Harris, a Career Center Ambassador, was recognized for her support and engagement with students by the Career Center Assistant Director. Elizabeth Lilly, the Student Government President, was nominated for her devotion to the student body at Washington College and her excellence both in leadership and academics by the Conference Services Director. Lastly, Grace Steele, the Front Desk Attendant at the Casey Swim Center, was nominated for her positivity and dependability by the Aquatic Director. At last, the time to declare the receiver of the award had arrived and Student Government President Elizabeth Lilly had been voted Student Employee of the Year. The members of the call and all nominees applauded their peer and classmate for her hard work.
