Melissa Febos Reading

On Thursday, 10/8, Melissa Febos performed a virtual reading of her work, hosted by the Literary House’s Living Writers Series. Numerous students, faculty, staff members, and community members were in attendance at the reading. Febos first read an excerpt from her essay collection Abandon Me, which was published by Bloomsbury in 2017. She also read an excerpt from Girlhood, her latest work, which will be published in March 2021. Immediately following the reading, attendees were given the opportunity to ask Febos questions about her work. “I’m almost always writing about things while they’re happening [...],” Febos said about her writing process. “I do my best thinking while I’m writing, and I also write to know how I feel.”
