Big Man Off Campus
Every year, Washington College’s chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha hosts a competition called Big Man On Campus to raise money for breast cancer; however, because of the pandemic, the organization held Big Man Off Campus, a virtual version of the event. About 150 people attended the zoom call including Student Engagement and the Career Center. The MC’s, Haley Wilt and Kamdyn Finney, led the ten Big Man nominees through the questions round and then the talent section. Talents included singing all the countries of the world and making balloon animals. After they competed, and while we waited for the judges’ responses, a zoom quiz was presented about breast cancer. Questions were explained to educate the audience. The winning categories were Best Leg Up (best leg picture voted on by the audience), Best Talent (winner of the talent portion according to the judges), Crowd Favorite (picked by the crowd), Mr. Think Pink (nominee who most strongly supported the Breast Cancer Awareness according to the judges), and finally the Big Man Off Campus (overall best in the competition according to the judges). The awards, respectively, went to Noah Frebert, Bryce Robertson, Mark Cooley, Max Moore, and Big Man Zach Papatheodorou.
