AXO Casino Night
The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega, Beta Pi Chapter hosted their annual fundraising event, Casino Night, to raise money for the organization Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence. The event, which took place on Zoom on Saturday, November 21st, consisted of virtual card games and trivia to be played by those in attendance. Anyone who bought a ticket was entered into the chance to win several raffles prizes. At the end of the event, raffle prize winners of the various prizes, including gift cards to Royal Farms, Welcome Home & Chester River Wine and Cheese, Twigs and Teacups, Happy Chicken Bakery, and several other gift baskets and prizes from other local businesses, were announced. Between Casino Night and a social media fundraising campaign for the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, the organization raised $4,525 due to the participation of members of the Washington College community and their friends and families. Despite the barriers of the virtual semester, Beta Pi and students and members of the campus community came together to support and raise money for an important cause.
