WC Rock Ensemble Concert

The WC Rock Ensemble performed their first concert of the semester on October 10th.

The Washington College Rock Ensemble held their first concert of the semester on Tuesday, October 10th at 7:30 p.m., in Decker Theatre. Directed by Ken Schweitzer, the ensemble is composed of four WC students: Stevie Lyles on Lead Vocals, David Londres on Bass and Back Up Vocals, Lilly Hartmann on Guitar, and Peter Junkins on Drums. This was the first of two concerts that the WC Rock Ensemble plans to put on this semester. The band played a wide selection of music which included songs by Nirvana, Garbage, Delta Sleep, Black Sabbath, Metric, Blind Melon, Heart, System of a Down, Sonic Youth, Splendora, and the Cranberries. As an encore, the band played a rock version of “Chestertown is a Great Town” by The Guy Who Sings Songs About Cities and Towns which added a personal twist to the end of the show. 

Stevie Lyles ‘26 sings “Paradise” by Black Sabbath with Lilly Hartmann ‘25 on Guitar, Peter Junkin ‘26 on Drums, and David Londres ‘25 on Bass.
