The Gardening Club at Washington College partnered with the school’s Composting Team to feature a documentary about a couple attempting to live off of food waste. Featured in Norman James Theater, the viewing started on Thursday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m. and was hosted by Assistant Professor of Sociology Dr. Garcia and Lifelong Learning and Communications Coordinator Shane Brill. The documentary talks about food waste and its environmental impact. Up to 20% of all food gets thrown away, meaning that many of the resources put into the products end up wasted.
