On Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022, the WAC Democrats invited Democratic Congressional Candidate Heather Mizeur to campus to talk with students at their Coffee with the Candidate Event. Mizeur, a Chestertown resident, is now running for Congress after working at the state level in the general assembly. Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts were served and students were able to hear from Mizeur about not only her political background but her stance on important issues that she plans to tackle in Congress. At the end of the event, the floor was opened for questions and Mizeur answered multiple students’ questions involving her time in politics and her policies.
