On advising day, several service clubs showed off their own sustainability projects at the Sustainability Fair
On Wednesday, April 3, four service clubs came out to the Kent Lawn for the Sustainability Fair, to present their projects and practices. The WC Service Council wanted to to promote better sustainability, so they reached out to service organizations. The event highlighted sustainable practices and increased awareness about how to protect our environment across campus.
WAC’s office of sustainability provided information about what materials are recyclable and which are not.
One club uses recycled newspaper of The Elm to spread awareness about making our campus plastic-free
The Student Environmental Alliance club gave out flowers to be planted around campus
The Habitat for Humanity club works with the campus garden to build new homes for honeybees
The tables for the clubs lined the Kent Lawn, where many students walked past and stopped by to learn about sustainability
