Student Engagement Leadership Awards

The office of student engagement honored special students who showed outstanding leadership and service throughout the 2017-’18 academic year.
On Tuesday, April 24th, the office of student engagement held an awards ceremony for students and student organizations who showed outstanding leadership and service. There were a total of 18 awards and 25 award winners. The awards ceremony began with a welcome by dean Jean-Pierre Laurenceau-Medina and a word from the keynote speaker Melat Kiros, who was the former SGA president. The leadership awards committee was comprised of Heather Calloway, Jean-Pierre Laurenceau-Medina, Hilary Bateman, Brandon Gross, and Arianna Hall, who introduced all of the individual award winners and student organization winners. After the awards were announced, the current SGA president Victoria Cline made a closing speech to leave the attendees off with some encouragement and gratitude.
