Natalie, a member of Washington College’s chapter of AMA, eagerly awaits to talk about her book.
As part of Sophie Kerr Week, junior Natalie Martinaitis shared her experience with the publishing world on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:00 p.m. in The Egg. The event was co-sponsored by the career center, AMA (The American Marketing Association, Washington College Chapter) and the English department. To start the event, Natalie read the first section of her novella, The Post-Pso Project, which was published by World Castle Publishing in December, 2023. Natalie expressed how this novella is one of three books she has written in what she calls “the world of PSO.” These books have a connection with the planet Mars. Natalie shared how the idea for this novella came to her in two dreams. Dr. O’Connor and Professor Georgina Bliss then facilitated a Q&A where Natalie answered questions about her writing process, the novella, and her experiences with the publishing world. Natalie then gave a short presentation on the four different types of publishing: the Big Five, self-publishing, small & large publishing, and service publishing. The audience was then invited to ask questions.
