Pumpkin Explosions

On Friday, October 26, 2018, WAC Chemistry students held an event to teach children about chemistry in a fun, fall activity. Faculty, students, and Chestertown residents showed up to watch the exploding pumpkins. They used different chemical solutions to explode the pumpkins. Children and adults experimented with dry ice and painted pumpkins. There was also a bake sale to raise money for the American Chemical Society.
