Publications Flea Market
March 24, 2024
Buyers peruse the items for sale.
There were many books available for sale.
The Publications Flea Market, hosted by Writers’ Union and cosponsored by Collegian, The Elm, Washington College Review, and The Pegasus created a yard sale to raise money for Collegian and The Elm to assist in offsetting costs such as ones needed for printing. On Sunday, March 24th at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the publications went to the Rose O'Neill Literary House to sell books, clothes, scarves, and even a trombone. Sophie Foster, 2023 to 2024 Collegian Editor-in-Chief, mentioned how the creative writing magazine could use money for a new bookshelf and printer. The Elm would use the money to help the costs of staying in print. Many people went to look around, leaving with books, clothes, and gadgets.
Copies of the publications were available for free.
