Pi Delta Phi

Pi Delta Phi is the National French Honor Society, founded at The University of California, Berkeley in 1906. The Society is devote to recognizing outstanding scholarship in the French language and its literatures, stimulating and encouraging French and francophone cultural activities, as well as increasing the knowledge and appreciation of Americans for the cultural contributions of the French-speaking world.

  • November 8 - Inducted five new members into the society

    • Students read aloud their favorite French work.

  • March 2 - Collaborated with Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honor Society) to invite Modern Language Alumni back to campus to speak with students about employment post-graduation.

    • After a panel discussion, students, faculty, and alumni gathered for lunch to share stories of study abroad, internships, and jobs after Washington College.
