NaNoWriMo

The Month of November

The board in the writing center welcomes authors to join NaNoWriMo.

Throughout the month of November, the writing center hosted its second annual National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) extravaganza. The event was hosted in Goldstein, and the purpose of NaNoWriMo is to write an entire novel in one month, which is quite the challenge! Writing center Tutors Sophie Foster and Faith Jarrell led workshops, assisting with anything writers needed to complete their month-long writing goal. During the month, writers were able to be within a community together, sharing stories and ideas and laughs. Stories were from many genres ranging from murder coming-of-age stories to romance to inner struggles with trauma. One particular joke involved an army of vampire children, arising from the story about murder.
