Cello Recital
The Cello Recital of the WAC Spring Concert was performed, recorded, and uploaded to the Washington College Music Department Youtube channel due to COVID guidelines restricting a live gathering. Carlyn Kessler, lecturer of Cello at Washington College, introduced the two performers before wishing them good luck. First up was Sarah Poirere ‘24 playing The Prelude of Bach Cello Suite No.1 and The Swan. Following up was junior Claire Spears ‘22 playing Vivaldi’s 6th Sonata in B-flat Major, completing both movements # 3 and #4. Even without the thunderous applause from a live audience, the pride on each performer’s face was visible and the performance was a joy to listen to.
