Molly Smith discusses her experience at Arena Stage and in Juneau, Alaska.
Brought to us live from Arena Stage! Molly Smith talked about her experiences at Washington’s most well-known theater on Wednesday, January 31st at 4:30. p.m. Some of her most pressing projects were new plays that had never been performed. She also helped to re-imagine the musical industry at Arena, playing roles in a production of Newsies, diversifying the classics such as My Fair Lady, and even helping in the initial project idea that became the Tony winning musical Dear Evan Hanson. She also discusses her experience in helping to open a theater in Juneau, Alaska. Followed by her presentation was a Q&A, where students and faculty alike asked for advice and also inspiration words from Molly. She had many students clutching their chest, possessed with a renewed love of theater.
