The Philosophy Club and Mu Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon sponsored a speaker event with Marxist economist, invited author, economist, and Professor Emeritus of Economics at Pace University Dr. Andrew Kilman on Friday, March 4, 2022, held in Hotchkiss Recital Hall. The event was open to the entire campus community and was well attended by many professors and students. Dr. Kilman’s talk was set up as a Q&A session. He began by answering questions that were sent to him prior to the talk by the students. Dr. Kilman discussed a wide range of topics involving economics, as well as different ways of thinking and freedom through the Marxist lens. After Dr. Kilman answered the pre-written questions, the floor was opened for audience members in attendance to ask questions.

Dr. Kilman answering questions such as “How do you foresee the failures of Capitalism affecting climate change, and what would Marxism do to alleviate these influences?”
