Lucy Corin Reading

February 12, 2019

On Tuesday, Feb. 5, American novelist and short story writer Lucy Corin gave a reading at the Rose O’Neil Literary House as part of the Living Writers speaker series. Corin read an excerpt from her upcoming novel The Swank Hotel. She was introduced by Dr. James Hall and Professor Roy Kesey. “I love Lucy Corin’s work for its possibilities and its predicaments. Not just in detailing of a post-apocalyptic world that blurs monster, god, human, technology, and nature together, upending every hierarchy and economy that we can think of so that an apocalypse never seemed so good, but also for what Corin makes possible in language,” Dr. Hall said in his introduction.
