On October 23rd, Washington College’s Latinx Student Union hosted a mask painting event in The Nest from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Students got to pick from a variety of different masks, paints, markers, and small gem stones to decorate their own Día de Los Muertos inspired mask to celebrate the holiday. The event welcomed many students who were able to share one another’s company while also appreciating the Mexican culture home to the holiday as it honors deceased loved ones and encourages their spirits to return briefly to reunite with families. Thank you LSU!
