The brothers of Kappa Sigma hosted their bi-annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, November 13th from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Trinity Lutheran Church. Tickets for the event were $5 and included an all-you-can-eat breakfast which consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, orange juice, and apple cider. All of the money made from ticket sales and donations go to supporting Kappa Sigma’s philanthropy, the Military Heroes Campaign which assists veterans by providing ongoing support for them and their families. To encourage ticket sales Kappa Sigma created fun donation milestones, which included dunking beloved Washington College staff such as Advisor to Kappa Sigma Associate Professor and Department Chair of Biology Dr. Aaron Krochmal and Director of Student Engagement Antoine Jordan ’12 into the Chester River. Other milestones involve brothers of Kappa Sigma senior Lenny Brogan shaving his head, senior Mike Nichols dying his hair blue for a month, and junior Nick Splendoria and senior Lanning Tyrrel getting matching tattoos.

Eager patrons line up to receive a fresh and hot breakfast.
