History Honor Society Induction

February 24, 2019

The National History Honor Society, or Phi Alpha Theta, inducted new members into its Washington College chapter on Thursday, February 21st in Goldstein Hall. “The History Honor Society is a recognition not only of the demonstration of your ability not only to master a body of knowledge about the past, but to think in a historical way. Most of you will probably not go on to become professional historians, but that isn’t really the point. The point is to think like a historian,” Associate Professor of History Clayton Black said to the new inductees. New members were given red roses and certificates as part of the ceremony, and were asked to sign their names in the official book of membership.
