“Hamilton” Awarded George Washington Prize
Lin-Manuel Miranda, the playwright, lyricist, composer, and star of the groundbreaking hit musical Hamilton is honored with the George Washington Prize Special Achievement Award, one of the nation’s most prestigious literary honors. The special award and accompanying prize of $50,000 was presented to Miranda at a ceremony in New York City on December 14, 2015.
