Gospel Music Concert

On November 19, 2018, the Washington College Institute for Religion, Politics and Culture hosted a Gospel Choir Concert in Hynson Lounge. Following Potter’s Field Gospel Choir’s performance of a selection of gospel songs was a roundtable discussion led by African American ministers, who reflected on the history and cultural significance of African American church in the United States. Ministers who participated were Bishop Charles Tilghman, Reverend Charles Pinkett, and Reverend Leroy Fitts.
