To round out the end of the summer season, the Washington College Student Government Association hosted their annual “Flock to the Waterfront” celebration on Saturday, September 24th at the Hodson Boathouse. Students enjoyed kayaking and tubing during a beautiful afternoon on the Chester River. Games such as cornhole and kan jam were set up on shore, with a competitive cornhole tournament happening later that day. Competitors would win a $50 gift card to a local business if they reigned victorious. Visitors could also grab chips, drinks, cookies, grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and WAC themed goodies. This event encouraged students to check out Hodson Boathouse if they hadn’t before and spend time with their peers on a beautiful sunny day.
