First Year Reading
November 30th, 2022
Every year, the Rose O’Neill Literary House hosts two readings: a First Year Reading and a Senior Reading. It is amazing to see the students of Washington College’s work progress this way. From fiction to nonfiction, prose to poetry, research papers to creative writing, anything and everything is encouraged to be shared. On November 30th at 6 p.m., the freshmen were given one of their first opportunities to share their work with the Washington College community. Hosted by Associate Director of the Lit House Professor Roy Kesey and co-sponsored by the Writer’s Union, first-year students were met with enthusiasm and cheered on by fellow students as many shared their work with an audience for the first time ever.
