First year students took the mic at the Rose O’Neil Literary House on Thursday, November 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the annual First-Year reading. Students read original work ranging from personal essays and poetry to drafts of Sci-Fi novels. The work showcased the talented crop of new writers at Washington College and their already budding success. The Lit House provided delicious refreshments and encouraging commentary, as always. This event is also open to transfer students who are in their first year at the College, not just freshmen.
