Each year, the Starr Center for the American Experience offers its Explore America Summer Internship Program which provides Washington College students stipends for internships with various host institutions. Following the experience, each intern is required to give a presentation detailing their experience, what they learned, and their overall takeaways from the experience. On Wednesday, September 27th and Thursday, September 28th at 5:00p.m., the Starr Center held their Intern Showcase where each participant was given the chance to talk about their internship from the previous summer. This event allowed for members of the WC community to come together and learn and ask any questions about the places where each student spent their time this summer.
Anastasia Bekker ‘24 presented on her time working for the National Endowment of the Humanities in the Office of Federal/State Partnership.
Kaitlin Osucha ‘25 worked at George Washington’s Mount Vernon as her Explore America Internship.
