English Thesis Lightning Talks
April 23, 2018
On Monday, April 23rd, English majors gathered to participate and witness the return of Washington College’s English theses presentations. The presentations were in a lightning talk format, where each student had three minutes to present their research. Thesis topics ranged from WWI modernist literature, 19th century women’s British literature, Dalit literature, identity within poetry, and so on. While seniors spoke, audience members enjoyed free Chipotle burritos and chips. After the presentations, students answered questions and gave advice about how to best prepare and complete one’s thesis project.
