Tall ships at night.
Downrigging in Chestertown took place over the course of three nights in October. The event, sponsored by the Sultana, brings ships from the surrounding area to the Chester River to take down their masts and celebrate a year completed. Ship tours were hosted as outings on the larger ships. On the first night, there was a brilliant fireworks display, and in a music village, bonfires and music. The other days had similar events with more boats open to tour and more variety in music and food options. On the last day, the music village was open for free and there were food trucks outside. The Chesapeake Heartland Association had a table during Downrigging, and several Washington college students helped out.
