Diannely reads from her work.

Diannely reads some of her new poems, including one about Twilight.

For her second day at the college on October 24 at 6 PM, poet Diannely Antigua read from her work, with a majority from her collection, Good Monster. She explained to the audience that the collection was a love letter to her inner “monster,” giving a chance for some of the darker themes she wanted to explore to take flight. The poems ranged in topics from sexual abuse, puppies, Twilight, abortion, and depression. Her twist endings were the power move of all her poems, moving audiences to laughter and touching hearts within the Lit House.
