DELIGHT-FUL Lunch (Random Acts of Kindness Day)

On February 17th, in honor of National Random Acts of Kindness Day, Hodson Hall hosted a DELIGHT-FUL lunch for students. The event was in partnership with 300 campus dining programs nationwide, with its primary goal being to spread joy amongst students and dining hall staff alike. The dining hall was decorated with balloons and board games, and Gus The Goose even made an appearance! Students were encouraged to leave notes for their favorite dining hall staff while they enjoyed a special menu made up of student favorites such as grilled cheese sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, broccoli, and mac and cheese, as a kind gesture. Donation boxes for George’s Free General Store were set up in the dining hall as well, to encourage students to donate. The celebration also extended to Hodson Hall’s downstairs dining services, with a Pay It Forward campaign in place at Java George and Martha’s. Regardless of what Random Act of Kindness students chose to pursue for the day, they were encouraged to post a picture on Instagram, tagging the dining hall (@wcdining) for a chance to win a prize!
