On February 6, 2025, María de Lourdes Mariño Fernandez shared the exhibit: Drafting Dissent: The Use of Drawings in Cuba’s Recent Activist Scene, which she had curated. The exhibit showcased a variety of works from three Cuban artists: Camila R. Lobón, Raychel Carrión, and Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara. Fernandez gave a presentation on the importance of art in testing boundaries and sharing thought-provoking messages. She even shared how one of the artists who was showcased in the exhibition had been imprisoned due to his protest of the Cuban government and how that impacted his art.
