Christopher Tilghman reads out his work.
For the fiction reader series, author and novelist Christopher Tilghman visited Washington College. There, he would not only workshop other students’ reading, but he would read a piece of his latest work at the Rose O'Neill Literary House thanks to Professor Roy Kesey. He read one of his novels out for current Washington College students on February 26th at 6pm. To go with the event, there was food and cupcakes in the kitchen of the building.
After Christopher Tilghman’s reading, the author held a generative workshop for Washington College students and Chestertown residents. First, Christopher Tilghman gave a talk. Afterward, people were assigned to outline a short story in just four sentences in ten minutes. Everyone enjoyed the workshop and hearing other people’s story ideas. The event was hosted on February 27th at 6pm, and it took place in the Rose O’Neill Literary House.
