At the start of each spring semester, the Libby and Douglass Cater Society of Junior Fellows holds an Open House to show off student research done over winter break and allow the College community to better understand what the society does before applications to join are due. This year’s open house was held on February 8th at 5:30 in the Toll Atrium. Five members of the Cater Society presented their research via poster presentations. Katherine Esposito ‘25 and Xavier Smalls ‘25 presented their research done in Cuba entitled, “Contemporary Art in Cuba: Explored Through a Creative Lens” and “Is Cuba Entering a Second ‘Special Period?’ - A Study of Food Insecurity in Cuba,” respectively.
