On December 9th, Caring for Kids, in partnership with the Minary’s Dream Alliance, hosted a fundraising event in the Hodson Goosenest. This beloved campus event allowed students to make their own stuffed animals in a pop-up Build-A-Bear workshop, with a minimum $5 donation to Minary’s Dream Alliance. Donations would go towards Mid-Shore families and youth and help fund “education, resource development, and community engagement,” according to Caring for Kids. Plushies to choose from included penguins, snowy owls, sea turtles, sloths, polar bears, and t-rexes, with the option of dressing them in a Caring for Kids t-shirt. In addition to donations going towards a great cause, students could take a moment to relax, channel their inner kid, and build a plush buddy before heading into finals week.
