The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega hosted their annual Casino Night in support of the Midshore Council on Family Violence on Friday, October 29. This year’s theme was “Wonderland” and the sisters wore bows, rabbit, and cat ears to channel the different Alice in Wonderland characters and encouraged attendees to dress up and join in on the fun. The CAC was decorated appropriately with teapots, playing cards, red roses, and white rabbits as far as the eye could see, with “Eat Me’ cupcakes on display to really lean into the theme. Attendees could play games like Blackjack, Texas Hold ‘em Poker, and Roulette. With a ticket, attendees were given 10 chips that they could use to bet on while playing games to try and earn more to exchange for raffle tickets. Raffle tickets could be used to win prizes such as donations from local Chestertown businesses including Play it Again Sam’s and Bee Ordinary, a Keuring coffee maker, a self-care themed basket, a $100 Royal Farms gift card. The sisters raised over $2,000 and educated the campus about the dangers of domestic violence and unhealthy relationships.

Eager players gather around to play Texas Hold Em’ Poker.

AXO sisters Erica Eckholm, Lucy Verlaque, and Ashley Krietz welcome attendees at the door.
