American Idiot

The cast stands to introduce the audience to the musical.

The fall musical this year was “American Idiot,” featuring songs by Green Day. The event was brought by the music department. Students gathered in Decker theater on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st at 7:30 p.m. to hear the singers and musicians rock to “American Idiot,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” and “Holiday,” among others. The cast included Grace Apostol, Asia Elliot, Lindsay Hall, Jessica Kelso, Madeleine Mulder, Jasmine Schaeffer, and members of the WC Chorus. They did not just sing songs from the infamous band, but they also performed a staged reading of the musical to bring the songs together as a story. It was a great time for fans of Green Day, musical theater, and anyone needing a break after a week of classes.
