Admitted Students Day for the Class of 2027
April 1st, 2023
Washington College welcomed potential new members of the class of 2027 to Chestertown for Admitted Students Day on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. Students and their families arrived on campus in the morning, first grabbing their schedules for the day and a free t-shirt. Afterward, in the lobby of the Benjamin A. Johnson Fitness Center, guests enjoyed a complimentary breakfast and mingled with admissions counselors and George’s Generals alike. WC’s dance team, Sho’Troupe, and Gus the Goose livened up the gathering crowd. Later, Vice President for Enrollment Management Johnnie Johnson and President of the College Dr. Michael Sosulski delivered brief remarks to the crowd. Throughout the day, students and those they brought to campus with them went on campus tours, ate in the dining hall, attended sessions with various academic departments, and learned about WC’s signature centers. Admitted Students Day, which welcomes students committed to WC and seniors still unsure of where they’d like to attend college, is the College’s single largest admissions event of the year. Approximately 150 students registered for this 2023 iteration.
